2013 looks like being a good year on the novel front. Regular readers will know that Hedge Witch is to be published by Morrigan Book next year. Today's very exciting news is that my fantasy (ish) novel Engn also has a publisher. Contracts have been signed with December House and they will be releasing the book, also next year. December House's announcement is here.
Thrilling and fantastic news. I wrote Engn in 2010/2011 and it's always been quite a hard novel to categorize. Fantasy? SF? YA? Maybe all of those. And that troubled me a little as I wrote it, as the publishing industry does love its pigeonholes. But December House had the vision to see it as simply a book. I'm delighted to be with them.
Editing of the 130K manuscript has begun. Bear with me if I'm a little distracted for the next month or two...
