Flash fiction story Pens is published over at Metazen today. A quirky little tale that's completely true, I tell you ...

  2. Nice story, Simon!

I liked the blurring of the word "pens" -- the small things that he kept to take home, and the virtual cages that kept everyone else at the office, even when the office was no longer there.

A fun and breezy story, but with a core of deeper meaning that sticks with you. Excellent!

  3. Old Kitty - Excellent; delighted you liked it.

Chris - Thanks! That little pun on "pens" amused me as I wrote the story I have to admit ...

  4. *laughs* Very funny and sly. My favourite line was, 'People get used to things.'

Ain't that the truth. But not, I suspect, you.

  6. I think he might work at my school. This time of year, so many of our supplies are missing! A fun one, Simon.
