Simon Says ...

Monday, 7 March 2011

Flashquake magazine, who bought my flash fiction tale Titania just recently, have been in touch to see if I would like to make an audio version of the story : to record myself reading it so folks can download it as an mp3.

Foolishly I've said yes. Cripes. Slightly regretting it now. Does anyone know any good voice actors?

  1. Congratulations and good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine. We all hate our own voices, but others never hear them the same way. I look forward to it.

  5. Thomas,

Thanks, and yes I do hate my own voice. But I'll give it a go! Fortunately it's only a very short story ...

  9. Cool to be asked, but yikes.

I imagine doing the first one will be the worst. After that you'll be podcasting all your works.

  10. Deborah,

Yikes indeed. I guess we all have to get use to doing things like this. Still, it's not as bad as doing a public reading. That must surely be horrific.

  13. Ha. As a poet, I guess I should be doing readings at coffee houses. Scary.

  14. Personally, I hate the sound of my own voice; I don't know how my students take it all day. But I think you've got an advantage what with your British accent and all... =]
