The deal is everyone gets to write an apocalyptic (or post-apocalyptic) tale based around one of the letters of the alphabet. So, as you might guess from me being fifth on the list, my story will be called E for ... Something.
But E for what? There are so many possibilities with E it's actually quite tricky. Extinction Events? Earth's End? Epidemic? End Days? Ebola? Explosions in the Sky? Extreme Weather? Extraterrestrials? Elephant Rebellion? Not sure yet - but I'm very much looking forward to contributing.
The anthology will be appearing next spring.

That's a great line up. Congratulations, Simon
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deborah. Slightly surprised not to see your name there. Maybe in B For?
DeleteElephants. Definitely. Honored to join you, sir!
ReplyDeleteYeah, attempts to recreate woolly mammoths by mixing recovered DNA with that of African Elephants goes horribly wrong. Giant pachyderms trample all over human civilisation, trumpeting in triumph as our puny bullets bounce off them.
DeleteOK, maybe not...
I want to read about the Elephant Rebellion :)
