The Genehunter #1: The Wrong Tom Jacks is published for the Kindle! It's available for the princely sum of $0.99 at amazon.com or around £0.77 at amazon.co.uk. Or you could always wait until I set up a promotion for it in a few days time and grab a copy for free. But if you do read it, I hope you enjoy it. I certainly had lots of fun writing it.

Of course, any Amazon reviews, "likes" or tags are always gratefully received. I'd be more than happy to wing over a free review copy of the book to anyone who wants one. And don't forget, if you don't have access to a Kindle, there are free Kindle Reader apps for most machines available for download here.


Simms is a genehunter, paid by rich collectors to find the DNA of historical figures. He's employed to track down the genetic code of Tom Jacks. But not the Tom Jacks, just an unknown namesake.
The job bugs Simms. Something about it is wrong. Someone is playing him. Problem is he doesn't know who or why. And the last thing he needs is the Genetic Monitoring Agency interrogating him about someone he's never even heard of...

The Wrong Tom Jacks is the first of a series of five novelettes, which will be released at monthly intervals from now on. Special thanks goes to Deborah Walker, Joe Romel and especially Stephanie Lorée for all the advice and input on this one.

    I love your cover and the blurb is intriguing too. As soon as I break down and buy an e-reader I'll be sure and pick this up. I know I can read on my computer with a Kindle app but I hate reading on my computer.

    Does that make it ironic then, that I run an e-zine? Probably... probably...
