Short Story Collections Finished

Monday, 19 March 2012

One of the things I've been working on recently, as regular readers will know, is putting all my previously published stories together into collections. I've already mentioned Spell Circles and Eccentric Orbits, which contain fantasy and SF stories published between 1999 and 2011.

Now, to complete the process, comes Life Cycles (mainstream stories) and, the one ring to rule them all, Perfect Circles. Perfect Circles is essentially just all the stories from Spell Circles, Eccentric Orbits and Life Cycles combined into one genre-defying mash-up. Although I've resisted the temptation to intermingle everything and left the stories from each genre grouped together.

Perfect Circles has ended up with seventy-three stories all told, so it's a fairly substantial volume. I think I'm mainly just delighted it's out there so I can move on. I've learned a huge amount in the process of putting these volumes together and it's been fun, but also very time-consuming.

Perfect Circles, should you be interested, is currently available as a free download for the Kindle.

OK, now on with the next ten years of short stories ...

  5. Deborah - Thanks; I did spend quite a bit of time trying to make them look like they belonged together but were distinct, too.
