Lots of fun things in this issue :
Here you will find Arachne, weaving for her lost love; a group of school children who are among the last witnesses to a dying world; an immortal cowboy, his most unusual horse, and the scorpion he tries to befriend; a world devoid of both mosquitoes and love; a museum, slowly being devoured from within; the rise of a new kind of humanity, triggered by an earworm of a song; and a terrifying childhood nightmare, made horribly real.
I do hope you scuttle on over for a read. My story has been illustrated (by Seth Fitts) which is a real thrill, too ...
Most definately off for a read - and I love that illustration.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate - hope you enjoy the story.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful illustration!
ReplyDeleteHeading over to read. :)
Congratulations. I'm off to read.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this, Simon. Especially as I'm a former museum curator. I like the idea of mile longer corridors, the Natural History Museum certainly feels like that sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAnd a great ending. It's nice to read something upbeat. Much more difficult to write, in my opinion than a sad/depressing ending.
And the art work blew me away. Congratulations, and keep your fingers crossed for me, I've got a story with them. I want to be in there.
Golden Eagle,
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful illustration. Hope you enjoy the story.
Thanks, Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteDeborah,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, I really appreciate them. I have my fingers crossed for you ...
Good work, Simon. A fine read -- I too liked the ending.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Milo - really glad you liked it.
