Flash Fiction Sale! Etc!

Thursday 17 February 2011

A quick round-up of some recent writing successes ...

Flash fiction story Titania has been bought by Flashquake. This was a story I wrote and submitted during week 5 of Write1Sub1, so a small triumph for that crazy little scheme of ours.

Cuento have accepted a couple of micro pieces : a Twitter story called The Lost Art of Conversation (another Write1Sub1 piece) and also a 6-word story called Mrs. Chadwick. Both will be appearing in March.

Trapeze, meanwhile, have accepted another SF Twitter tale : An Explosive Relationship, to be published in May. Again, a Write1Sub1 piece.

Seedpod have published All The Things He'd Never Done With His Life today, yet another Twitter-sized story. It's here in their Twitterstream.

And finally! Scifaikuest have requested 8-10 more SF haiku for my featured poet slot in November. That edition of the magazine is a Hallowe'en special, so that's 10 horror-tinted SF haiku to write. What's not to love ...

  10. *laughs* credit, where it's due, Simon.

I've only managed 7 in a week when one pub took all five of my poems, and then I got another couple.

You are--for the moment--the Lord of Acceptances.

*goes off to make a few frantic subs*

  11. Deborah,

You're too kind. And I can't believe I blithely wrote "I think it's only 10"! But I'm nowhere near as prolific as you.
