      My scales say it's about 250g, Of course, there are also electronic versions available that weight nothing at all (if my physics is right).

    Not heavy enough for "crowd control" of the kids by the pool then! :-)
    Re mass of electronic book ... I think if data is represented by electrons travelling the WWW then the total mass of data on the internet would be about the same as the mass of a strawberry ... not sure if that's a big one or a little one though!?
